I help you relate to your thoughts and feelings so that you can live a valuable life, even if you have difficult thoughts and feelings.

I have special experience in treating:
Anxiety; including phobias, social anxiety, agoraphobia, OCD, panic anxiety, generalised anxiety and emetophobia (vomiting phobia)

Chronic disease

By methods, I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

The teaching can include:
Information about lifestyle issues, such as stress and weight or mental problems like depression and anxiety
Teaching how the problems appear, symptoms and how they can be recognised
Methods to handle the problems, as well as home assignments and follow-up on the use of handling methods
Experience-oriented exercises that make it easier to feel on their own and body how the methods work and how they can best be used in everyday life.

I am an Authorised Psychologist, born in Iceland in 1978 and have worked in England and Denmark for many years - therefore I offer conversations in both Danish, English and Icelandic.
