I can help you relate to your thoughts and feelings so that you can live a valuable life, even if you have difficult thoughts and feelings.

I have specific experience in treating:

  • Anxiety; including phobias, social anxiety, agoraphobia, OCD, panic anxiety, generalised anxiety and emetophobia (vomiting phobia)

  • Chronic disease

I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) methods.

The teaching can include:

  • Information about lifestyle issues, such as stress, weight or mental problems (like depression and anxiety)
  • Teaching how the problems appear, symptoms and how they can be recognised
  • Methods to handle the problems, as well as home assignments and follow-up on the use of handling methods
  • Experience-orientated exercises that make it easier to feel how the methods work, and how they can best be used in everyday life.

I am an authorised Psychologist from Iceland, and have worked in England and Denmark for many years - therefore I can offer services in both English, Danish and Icelandic.
