About Peter James Forsyth
Counselling is a process that helps Individuals make a choice or reach decisions about how to handle their concerns or issues.
Counselling can help resolve a wide range of personal issues. Counselling can also be used to talk through any unresolved issues from the past that may still be affecting you in the present.
There are times in your life when you feel upset and miserable or have been affected by a trauma.
Friends and family can be very supportive during these occasions, however, there are times when we prefer not to talk to them about our concerns or issues. We may worry about overburdening them.
It is at these times when it can be useful to have someone impartial to talk to who:
- Is trained to listen carefully and will not be judgemental about you or your issues.
- Will understand your difficulties from, your point of view.
- Is trustworthy and helps you with your issues or your concerns confidentially.
By exploring your feelings and thoughts, you can gain a greater understanding of yourself, making you more confident in your choices and decisions.
My main counselling approach is Person-Centred, and I have experience in other counselling approaches.
