I am a Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist and specialise with clients in dealing with Anxiety, Weight Control and Performance Enhancement. I am a registered Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis (BSCH) a national professional body whose aim is to promote and assure high standards in the practice of hypnotherapy. Registration demands thorough training, ethical practice and adherence to the BSCH code of conduct. This means you can choose a therapist with assurance and confidence. Hypnosis is effective for a wide range of conditions including smoke cessation, weight control, overcoming phobias, performance enhancement and anxiety. It can also be used for relaxation, focus and assertiveness. Initial consultation session (which includes hypnosis) lasts for 90 minutes; subsequent follow-up sessions are 60 minutes in length. Client are requested to complete a Pre-Treatment Questionnaire prior to attending their first session; this ensures that the client's focus for the treatment is established and an appropriate treatment plan/s can be considered. I work collaboratively with my clients and clients are expected to undertake exercises out of the treatment session to reinforce the work undertaken during hypnotherapy. Motivated and committed clients are likely to make good progress with their condition or presenting symptoms. Exercises include self-induced relaxation (i.e. self-hypnosis) and positive thinking together with more practice tasks to help clients change to more positive behaviours. The key to managing change is regular practice. Just as with any subject, attending lessons or lectures isn't enough; the work undertaken outside these environments is where progress and development is made. My Central London practice is based a few minutes walk from Farringdon Station (EC1M 5QL).
