Following her initial academic training in linguistics and foreign languages, Lelia gained a postgraduate Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy from the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, a leading postgraduate college with UKCP accreditation.
Lelia was trained in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) by its co-creator Dr Richard Bandler and learned about the use of advanced hypnosis in NLP from Paul McKenna, PhD. Prior to practising psychotherapy, Lelia’s professional experience encompassed international economic development, radio journalism, EU consultancy and linguistic work.
Lelia has worked with people who feel trapped in self-limiting patterns of behaviour and thinking, encounter relationship problems or suffer from depression, anxieties or obesity. She helped people overcome low self-esteem, social phobias and communication problems. She has a particular interest in the use of psychological interventions in psychosomatic diseases that are triggered or worsened by stress, such as psoriasis, eczema or IBS.
