Description

Working in a Humanistic Modelled Framework we use a creative and practical approach for meaningful and lasting change in the way you care for yourself, your self-respect and in your personal strengths. Jasmer Chauhan works as a Person Centred Humanistic Counsellor, covering Milton Keynes, Bedford, Northampton and surrounding areas. By applying this theoretical approach within his Therapeutic Counselling he believes that: * every individual is unique * personal change, growth and development are possible for everyone * a healthy counselling environment is empathic and non-judgemental * honesty and congruence is central to a healthy and productive counselling relationship * his role within this working relationship is to support his clients in realising their own potential. Jasmer brings clarity and sensitivity to his work with warmth, humour and fresh insight, together with his passionate beliefs of self-reliance and personal growth and development. The Humanistic Approach values the uniqueness of the individual in all their diversity. Humanistic practitioners endeavour to work with the whole person - the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the personality. Jasmer shares the belief that we all have an inner drive towards reaching our full potential as individual beings. Therapy can help free up the blockages that frustrated this drive. Your security: Ethical standards are important in promoting safe and professional counselling and psychotherapy practices. These are important in order that members deliver a professional level of service that caters for the best interests of their clients, and the public at large. Professional accountability is also key in ensuring public protection and allows the Profession to move forward enjoying the public confidence in the services provided. BACP introduced the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy in April 2002. It unified and replaced earlier Codes of Ethics and Practice and gives practitioners the opportunity to consider ethical practice in a more mature and professional manner. Jasmer is a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and BAPCA (The British Association for the Person-Centred Approach) and works under the Ethical Frameworks set down by the BACP.
