Indrani Choudhury is an Occupational Psychologist and a Chartered Educational Psychologist. She has been involved with coaching for a number of years, mainly in the public sector. Her coaching clients in the past have included parents, pupils, head teachers and senior managers in local authorities and in the health trusts. She has worked with the National College of School Leadership in developing their Leadership Programme. She was an advisor on head teacher performance management evaluating previous performance and advising on setting targets and development needs for the forthcoming year. Her coaching clients have included Senior Civil Servants at Board Level and Managing directors in the private sector. Apart from coaching, she lectures on postgraduate and other courses on Organisational Management and Development and she was also a psychologist for the Fast Stream Civil Service Selection Board (CSSB). Prior to becoming an independent consultant, she was the Principal Educational Psychologist in the London Borough of Ealing. She was born and brought up in India and is interested in covert cultural differences and has published in this area..
An educational psychologist is concerned with helping children or young people who are experiencing problems within an educational setting with the aim of enhancing their learning. These may include learning difficulties and social or emotional problems. I am also a pediatric neuro-psychologist which enables me to undertake further investigation into the specific neurological processes that could be affecting performance. I am a member of the Expert Witness Institute, I do assess and write reports for the courts.
