What is Hypnotherapy:
1. There are as many different explanations of hypnotherapy as there are disciplines in the profession. My own discipline deals with cause and effect. Simply, I believe that every disorder (the effect) began somewhere (the cause).
2. I use two methods of practice:
a) Suggestion therapy: A quick and effective method of dealing with less complex issues such as smoking and weight loss etc. normally only two sessions are required.
b) Analytical therapy: A more in-depth therapy dealing with complex issues that will require anything up to 12 sessions.
3. Analytical Hypnotherapy is perhaps the most natural of all complimentary therapies. It uses the natural phenomena of hypnosis to allow the client to freely associate with the experiences of his or her life. This will result in a self realization that will permit the client to rationalize whatever has been the cause of the presenting problem, thus ending the problem. So….What is involved? First of all – assessment to determine whether you will benefit from hypnotherapy. Then, agreement between myself and you, my client, on how we will proceed with treatment. Everything to do with treatment will be discussed, explained and demonstrated. Only when agreement with both parties is achieved can treatment begin.
