I am an experienced practitioner of 14 years based in Wells, Somerset. I am accredited by both the National Counselling Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society and a registrant on the Accredited Register.I am an Approved Therapist for both Anxiety UK and the Police Firearms Officers Association.

I have worked in the 'care' industry both professionally and voluntarily since my late teens; most notably in the field of palliative care.
After living and working in Greece as an English teacher for 6 years, I returned to England to study Counselling and Hypnotherapy, qualifying with distinction in both disciplines. I have a special interest in the use of hypnosis for pregnancy and childbirth having experienced it first-hand and completed my Advanced Diploma on the subject. Other specialist fields of interest are Anxiety, Stress, Panic Attacks, Phobias, Bereavement, Internet Addiction, Food Addiction and working with young adults.

Running a busy practice in Wells, Somerset I also worked as a senior tutor and case study marker for the country's largest training provider of counselling courses and supervise newly qualified therapists. I have spent the last few years researching and co-writing two web-based therapeutic programmes; one on internet pornography addiction and one on food addiction. As a result I spoke to National and International media on the subject. More recently, I qualified as a Family Mediator and also work on a voluntary basis for a local charity, as a mentor for children and young adults.

Personal life experiences also inform my work; raising twins, experiencing illness as a teenager and bereavement make me all too aware of the everyday struggles, stresses and traumas many of us have to contend with at times. This is why I am practical and realistic in my approach and how I can bring compassion, empathy and creativity to my work.
I will show you respect, patience and understanding. Not only will I try to see things from your perspective, but also encourage you to see from different perspectives, in order to help you work through and overcome the obstacles that prevent you from reaching your full potential.I believe in working with what you bring and who you are; acceptance, change and evolution are key to success; there is always a way.

I work using a wide range of counselling approaches to provide integrative, client-led, bespoke therapy. I pride myself on understanding you as an individual and constructing personal, tailor made therapy just for you.
Open, non-judgemental and impartial I aim to provide a warm and safe space for you to rediscover yourself, evolve and grow. I am a Fellow of the National Hypnotherapy Society and Accredited Member of the National Counselling Society. As such I am bound by their strict code of ethics and complaints procedures and am eligible to be on their Accredited Register. I have an enhanced CRB certificate.
