You are an individual, people can have the same experiences but the affect and perception is unique to you as a person. Culture and ethnicity are huge factors when they are they make up the rules by which we live, yet they do not identify any of us as individuals.
Love of parent, love of family, love of friends are all supportive but what if you don't feel they can't truly hear you? What if you don't feel safe to disclose? What if you feel they will judge you because they know you?
You have an issue not a problem and it's work that with the tools you can prevail and even heal.
Counselling is an equal working relationship. Book a session and you will know very soon whether this is helpful or not.
Just as there are good doctors and there are bad doctors a certificate does not guarantee capability, but with me, a positive direction will develop.
