About Lena Fenton
I have worked with both men and women in the field of therapy and personal development for the last 18 years. Counselling people has given me a great deal of understanding and insight into human beings. And if there is one thing that I have come to know with some certainty is that each one of us is capable of extraordinary things, each person has the potential for greatness, each one able to reach inside and find the place from where our most noble deeds and thoughts arise.
Broadly speaking my training is Person Centred, however I do not necessarily adhere to one-way of doing things, and I have developed a style which is both relaxed and interactive. I have adopted techniques from many schools of counselling as well as many writers and teachers in this field. I believe deeply in empowering the individual to 'do it for themselves' and to achieve this I employ motivational techniques, deep empathic listening, reflecting and analysis.
Areas of Specialisation
While I am trained in general counselling, over the years I have developed my skills in the following areas: Sexual Abuse (both individual and organised), Depression, Bereavement, Relationship Difficulties,Couple counselling and Addiction. Further more I have also worked with self-harm and eating disorders.
Currently my focus is on Relationship Coaching!
