In reality although the settlers with pale faces had been bothering the Indians in addition to giving them many new diseases they had never had were starving by this t...

Kevin Kappler Thursday, May 19, 2011 - 12:56:40 AM There are some starts that seem to have a life of their own. This one was like all the time mountaineers spend getting ready to take the long road to base camp. So everything was looking good seven moths ago and then I Iost the connection to this site. I could not get back in and many months went by with my thinking I would never get it off the ground. When I was in Nepal I met a French mountain climber who also was a hand glider. He was trying to get permission from the Nepalese to climb Kanchenjunga, the southern most major mountain in the Himalayan Chain and then fly off on his hand glider. He was dealing with people who still believe in demons. He eventually got permission when a Sherpa agreed to guide him up to the top so he could turn into a demon and fly off. The authorities asked the Sherpa if he was too scared to do it and he said no. The guy got his permit and that is what it was like for me to finally get where I am today. Reply
