About Gabrielle Korstaran
I have worked in private practice in both Homeopathy and Counselling for 17 years and have also been employed within the NHS and an Addiction Agency.
I believe my role is to facilitate you in working towards the changes you want and to help identify your capacity for choice in the context of your own life. Within the 3 therapies, I offer the opportunity to bring a greater balance into your life. Balance as a dynamic force that can free us into becoming more of who we really are. I have also had experience of being a client, through my own exploration of change and find this brings a deeper dimension to what I can offer as a practitioner.
I work from a private room at home in a quiet area of North Tyneside. There is easy access from the Metro and available parking space
The basis of humanistic counselling looks towards the creativity, resourcefulness and tendency towards growth that is in everyone.
Counselling is an empowering process in which a person is helped to take control of their life, fulfil their potential and have an increased sense of well being. The counselling relationship provides an environment in which to explore often difficult issues and combined with EFT or on its own counselling can be a powerful tool for change.
Working from a Humanistic model I use concepts and skills from different counselling sources to provide an integrated and flexible approach. I have experience working in the NHS and have supervised groups and individuals addressing a wide variety of issues in both long term and brief work.
